We have been busy getting our US lives going again. After the busy year of building the house and moving in and waiting for Julia and then Julia's arrival just before Christmas, 2007 has not slowed down much. I am working part-time at a frame shop here in Hattiesburg putting artwork into frames and taking care of business when the boss needs some time off. Tom has begun working with Primerica, a part of Citigroup that does financial counseling and planning, insurance and securities sales. He is still working at getting licenses and learning the ropes.
The exciting thing we are doing is opening a business. We decided to open a commercial embroidery shop in the upstairs bonus room. Our name is Deep South Embroidery, LLC. My brother is generously sharing his expertise with us so we are (hopefully) able to avoid some pitfalls. Our 2 machines are due to arrive sometime next week.
We will order shirts, caps, bags or whatever for you and then embroider it with your design or name or logo.
AND Julia and Joanna will be here next week for a visit! So there will be lots more photos to post then. Tom and I are going to Knoxville to baby sit for Jo and Dave to go out for an anniversary evening alone together. Then we'll bring J & J back with us for a visit. I'm very excited and looking forward to having a baby in the house again...
