Well, we are back from our week-long trip to Florida to visit Tom's parents. They are well and looking forward to the warmer weather. And to fewer people in their area after the snowbirds go back home again.

This view is from the living room through the space where the French doors will go, through the screened-in porch area, the deck and through the trees to the 14th green. The flag is a bit difficult to see in this photo but it is there all right.

This is the smaller AC/heater unit that will handle the 2 extra bedrooms. In the Mississippi summer heat and humidity the AC is welcome indeed.

A view of the raw materials for building the ductwork for the AC/heater. Tom had the floors all swept and clean before they arrived. Didn't take long for it to get all cluttered again...

The big unit on its side and the smaller one for the bonus room.

Another view of the ductwork heading throughout the attic. Since the 'innards' are what are being worked on now - most important but not as interesting - there isn't a lot to see. The painter is supposed to come once the front porch area has all the trim finished. The front door is laying in the garage and will probably be installed next week. The plumber also comes next week to do his thing. And the brick should be laid soon. Things move ahead. We are beginning our 8th month in the US. I had hoped that we would be getting close to moving in around this time. But it looks more like it will be closer to a year before we are settled again. But we are enjoying the time to reconnect with family and to be able to pick up and go pretty much when the mood strikes.
